Kevin Williams is a developer, community leader, and technology enthusiast.
Kevin has cerebral palsy that impacts his ability to move and speak. He uses a power wheelchair for mobility. Kevin primarily uses an Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) device to convey his thoughts in a clear, precise manner while speaking to people.
Kevin’s passion and focus in life is to help advance the lives of individuals through innovation, accessibility, and solidarity. He merges his senses of creativity and functionality to deliver quality solutions for motivated people.
He is an accomplished speaker at national and international conferences. He leads a bi-weekly chat for people who use AAC. He enjoys water skiing and spending time with his infant daughter.
Kevin currently works as a contractor with PRC-Saltillo to expand their Ambassador program and build a framework for people who use AAC to make significant impact throughout various company activities. Kevin also has a contract with the United States Society for AAC advising them on management of various technology resources.
Through his work and advocacy for people with disabilities specifically those who use AAC. Kevin aims to redefine the role of disability in society through self-determination.
With a tenacious determination and a commitment to excellence, Kevin participates in projects that inspire, elevate, and enrich the lives of people with a disability and their loved ones.
Through his advocacy and technology work, Kevin tries to redefine the views of accessibility and how to adapt to communicating differently from friends and family.
